Removing barriers to create inclusive workplaces
The social model of disability recognises that barriers to full inclusion of people with disability are often created by society and embedded in environments and attitudes.
This International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD), Australian Disability Network is championing the cause to challenge these barriers and highlight steps towards creating accessible and inclusive workplaces.
We invite you to Choose Inclusion with us as we share top tips, member stories, and valuable resources to help you #RemoveBarriers and foster inclusion in your workplace.
Follow our campaign on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook to stay updated.
While this isn’t the official IDPwD theme, our focus on workplace inclusion aligns with the day’s spirit of promoting understanding and equal opportunities. For official IDPwD activities and information, visit the Australian IDPwD website.

Watch and share our new film: ‘It’s not hard to be inclusive’
To kick off our campaign, we’re excited to present our new short film, ‘It’s not hard to be inclusive’, starring two of our favourite comedians and disability advocates, Madeleine Stewart and Sam Wade, and produced by Taste Creative.
This fresh and funny take on ‘What is Disability?’ sets the tone for our inclusive approach.
