Graincorp recently invited Australian Disability Network to tour its head office in Sydney, to see the exceptional work the organisation has done to ensure its business is inclusive and accessible.
In 2023, Graincorp undertook a Dignified Access Review with AusDN which reviewed every aspect of its office in Barangaroo Tower Two, Sydney.
Everything from floor surfaces to kitchen spaces was reviewed, and Graincorp, an AusDN member since 2022, is continuing to transform its workplaces, not just in Sydney but also at its key regional offices.
“Returning to GrainCorp’s Barangaroo office space was a delight, “said AusDN’s Dignified Access Lead Tom Bevan.
“Seeing first-hand how our dignified access recommendations are coming to life was incredible.
“Of the many new accessible features on display, a simple standout was a low reception desk in the building’s entrance, which allows everyone to be seen and made to feel welcome.
“GrainCorp is providing a space where everyone feels at ease, safe, and connected, and disability is a natural and expected thing.”
The tour of Graincorp’s office coincided with the 10th anniversary of Australian Disability Network’s Dignified Access Review framework.
At AusDN, we’ve helped hundreds of organisations create such spaces through Dignified Access Reviews. These go beyond building codes to foster workplaces that are accessible, inclusive, and welcoming to everyone. Follow Graincorp’s lead and contact AusDN to discuss how a Dignified Access Review can transform your business.
