Accessibility standards at IMPACT 2024

IMPACT 2024 is more than a conference. It’s your opportunity to be a part of something bigger. This year, with incredible partnerships, Australian Disability Network has put together Australia’s most accessible experience at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Wheelchair accessibility

The MCEC is an accessible venue and has been reviewed by Australian Disability Network’s Dignified Access Review Lead. Each room is ensured to have wide aisles.

Support dogs

Bring your accredited furry companion to join you at the event. Water stations and ample outdoor space will be available!

Australian Disability Network staff at the help desk will be available to take a support animal to the relieve area.

Hearing loops

Enhance your auditory experience with our advanced hearing loop technology. Our rooms are equipped with Hearing Loop technology.

Dedicated support staff

Australian Disability Network staff will be wearing purple t-shirts and will be around the venue entrances to guide you.

They will also be moving throughout the venue to assist you. Don’t hesitate to ask them a question or even just say hello!

Auslan Interpreters by Deaf Connect

Accessible communication for the Deaf and hard of hearing community will be available throughout all Awards Night segments and Conference sessions.

This event will be recorded and accessible to all attendees for 12 months after the event via the virtual platform.

Wheelchair Accessible Buggy by Travellers Aid and Yarra Trams

Travellers Aid, supported by Yarra Trams, will provide a wheelchair accessible buggy to assist delegates with limited mobility from the Clarendon St tram stop entrance of the Convention Centre to the closest entry of the Awards Night and Conference.
